Wed, April 28Platform Engineering & DevOpsAI-Assisted Software EngineeringReliability, Observability & Security
As teams adopt AI for code generation, testing, security review, documentation, and release decisions, the CI/CD pipeline becomes a natural home for continuous AI: automated reasoning that runs on every change. But this introduces two distinct challenges: deciding where AI is useful and determining how to contain it safely.
In this session, you will examine which pipeline stages can benefit from AI and how to handle output that is not deterministic. You will explore patterns including AI-assisted test synthesis, intelligent failure classification, log summarisation, RAG-driven debugging, risk scoring, and AI-powered release gates, along with the golden sets, thresholds, and human routing needed to make them dependable enough to trust.
You will also examine the containment problem. An AI stage that can read issue text, pull request descriptions, or build logs while holding a repository token can potentially be influenced by that content. Using examples from GitHub Actions and a scheduled AI agent running within it, the session explores token scoping, trigger choices, the risks of exposing secrets through environment variables, and where human approval can meaningfully constrain an agent rather than simply slow it down.
What You Will Learn
Which CI/CD stages can benefit from AI and how to handle non-deterministic output
How golden sets, thresholds, and human routing can support dependable AI-assisted pipeline decisions
How token scoping, trigger choices, and secret handling affect containment
Where human approval can meaningfully constrain AI agents within CI/CD pipelines
Who Should Attend
Platform Engineers, DevOps and DevSecOps practitioners, Software Engineers, Security Engineers, SREs, and technical leaders introducing AI into CI/CD and software delivery workflows.
