GIDS is Asia’s biggest and longest running polyglot software conference and expo that brings together software practitioners to learn and share their knowledge and experiences.

GIDS is open to anyone who is interested in software development, architecture, operations or management. Attendees include software developers, architects, technical leads, engineering managers, DevOps and InfraOps, and other technology professionals.

Registration & Tickets

To register for GIDS 2023, you can purchase an All-access Ticket or Single-Day Tickets. All tickets are available for purchase online through our ticketing partner, Townscript. Please visit the following link to purchase tickets: https://www.townscript.com/v2/e/gids2023/booking/tickets.

To guarantee your spot at GIDS 2023, we highly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance. We do not offer on-site ticket sales, so please make sure to buy your ticket online before the conference. Our ticketing partner, Townscript, makes it easy to purchase your ticket online. Please note that we do not offer wild card registrations, so we advise purchasing your ticket as early as possible to ensure availability.

Group discounts are available for corporate teams of 5 or more. Please contact us through our website at https://saltmarch.com/contact-us to learn more about our slab-wise discount options. Attending GIDS as a team is a great way to enhance your learning and networking experience, and we encourage companies to take advantage of our group discount offer.

No, the All-access Ticket is designed for individual use and cannot be shared with colleagues. The ticket is meant to provide one attendee access to the conference content for all four days. This policy is in place for security reasons at the venue, and to ensure that all attendees have equal access to the conference content.

We encourage attendees to purchase tickets according to their intended attendance to ensure an optimal conference experience. If the organizers detect any violation of this policy, they reserve the right to remove the attendee from the venue.

GIDS offers other options for attendees who may not be able to attend all four days, such as purchasing Single-day tickets.

Registrations are non-refundable, but we do offer some alternatives if you are unable to attend the conference after registering. You can transfer your registration to someone else who is able to attend. Alternatively, you can access recorded sessions and presentations after the conference has ended through saltmarch.com. Please note that transfers must be completed by a specific date (see response to FAQ below).

Yes, if you are unable to attend the conference for some reason, you can transfer your registration to someone else who is able to attend by contacting us with the substitute participants full name and contact details no later than 1400 Hrs, Thursday, 20th April 2023. Additionally, please note that transfers are allowed only once and cannot be further transferred or sold. The new attendee must present a valid ID and a copy of the original attendee's registration confirmation email at the registration desk on the day of the conference. It is the responsibility of the original attendee to inform the new attendee of any relevant terms and conditions associated with the registration.

Conference Information

GIDS 2023 will cover a range of technical topics related to software development, including front-end and back-end development, cloud computing, data engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, software architecture, technology leadership, and app development.

You can find the complete list of talks that will be presented in-person at GIDS 2023 by visiting https://developersummit.com/sessions. To view the list of talks by day, simply apply the filter located on the top right of the page. Please keep in mind that all the talks listed on this page are confirmed, but there may be changes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a speaker's inability to travel on the dates of the conference.

To attend GIDS 2023, you can choose from one of the five or six parallel breakout sessions offered in each slot, in addition to the keynote sessions in the main hall at the J N Tata Auditorium. We suggest arriving early for popular sessions as seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis. However, if you cannot find a seat in the session of your choice, we have a wonderful selection of breakout sessions taking place at any given point of time so there will always be another good choice to make. We also recommend checking out the expo, which is open and running alongside the sessions, providing a great opportunity to network with other attendees and explore the latest technology trends. If you still want to watch the session you missed, don't worry! We are endeavoring to record all sessions and make them available for viewing on-demand after the conference.

Great question! Yes, we will be recording most of the talks at GIDS 2023 and making them available on- demand on our website https://saltmarch.com/. You can subscribe to Saltmarch to receive notifications when the talks become available. This is a great option if you are unable to attend a particular session or want to revisit a talk at a later time.

We understand that attendees may want to access conference slides and presentations after the event, but unfortunately, we do not provide access to them. This is because some speakers are not authorized by their companies to share the content, or some sessions are code-based talks with no presentation slides. However, we do provide other ways to access information from the conference. For instance, you can access recorded sessions and presentations through our online platform after the conference has ended. Additionally, our website and social media channels will have updates and information from the conference, so please consider following our social channels on LinkedIn and Twitter.

Expo Information

The expo at GIDS 2023 is a showcase of some of the most innovative companies in tech, featuring live demos of products, special offers, and opportunities to learn about various software engineering cultures. It will take place from Tuesday, April 25th to Friday, April 28th alongside the conference. Attendees can participate in various contests and win exciting swag as well. It is a great opportunity to network and discover new technologies in the industry.

To attend the expo at GIDS 2023, you need to purchase a ticket for the conference. Once you have registered for the event, you can attend the expo on the day(s) you have registered for. For example, if you have purchased a Single-Day Ticket for April 25th, you will have access to the expo on that day only. If you have an All-access Ticket for April 25-28th, you can attend the expo on all four days.

The expo at GIDS 2023 is open from Tuesday, April 25th to Friday, April 28th, between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM. This means that during these days and times, attendees who have registered for GIDS 2023 and have access to the expo can visit the expo and explore the various products and offerings showcased by different companies.

Check-in & Program Details

Thank you for registering to attend GIDS 2023. Please note that the event timings from April 25-28, 2023 (Tuesday-Friday) are as follows:

All attendees are requested to check-in between 07:30 AM and 08:25 AM. Entry at the venue after the check-in time is restricted, and late arrivals will be admitted solely at the organizer's discretion. Please make sure to arrive at the venue during the check-in time to avoid missing any part of the program. It is highly recommended that attendees arrive on time for the event check-in, which is between 07:30 AM and 08:25 AM. Late arrivals may not be guaranteed admission, as it will be at the organizer's discretion. We encourage all attendees to plan their travel accordingly and arrive on time to ensure a smooth experience at GIDS 2023.

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID for verification purposes, as requested by the venue security. You will receive a unique QR code on your registered email in the week of April 17th. Please bring the QR code with you (either a printout or on your mobile phone) and scan it at one of the registration kiosks placed outside the main entrance to the J N Tata Auditorium.

To make the most out of your conference experience, we recommend bringing a laptop or tablet along with their respective chargers and cables. Don't forget to pack plenty of business cards for networking opportunities. During check-in, you will receive a printed badge, lanyard, lunch coupon, and a delegate kit, which includes a summit guide, notepad, and pen to take notes during the sessions. We advise dressing comfortably and wearing comfortable shoes to ensure a pleasant experience throughout the day.

To direct a cab to the venue, you can provide the following instructions to your driver:

  • Ask them to enter the address of J N Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in their GPS or maps app.
  • Once they reach the IISc campus, ask them to enter through the gate adjacent to Sri Circle Maramma Devi Temple. This is the gate closest to the venue.
  • If your driver is unfamiliar with the area, you can also provide the address and gate information ahead of time to ensure a smooth ride.

Yes, there is parking available at the venue for approximately 50 cars and 75 two-wheelers. However, please note that parking is on a first-come-first-serve basis and cannot be guaranteed. We highly recommend taking a cab service to arrive and depart from the venue to avoid any disappointments. If you do choose to drive, plan to arrive early and enter the J N Tata Auditorium, IISc campus, through the gate adjacent to Sri Circle Maramma Devi Temple.

Unfortunately, the venue is not fully accessible for people with disabilities. However, we do make arrangements to accommodate attendees with disabilities to the best of our ability. Attendees with disabilities can come right up to the main entrance of the J N Tata Auditorium, and our team will be available to assist them with seating arrangements. We kindly request that attendees with disabilities provide advance notice via the contact form to ensure we can provide the necessary accommodations. We would like to inform you that the venue has a strict no smoking policy, and there are no designated smoking areas within the venue campus. However, attendees who wish to smoke can step outside the venue campus and smoke in a publicly designated smoking area. We kindly request that all attendees respect the policy while on the premises and use the designated smoking area if necessary. This policy has been put in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi will be available at the event venue, thanks to our presenting sponsor Airtel Business. However, please be aware that the quality of the connection may vary due to the high volume of attendees.

As an attendee, you will have access to lunch and drinks throughout the day as part of your ticket. You can enjoy arrival coffee/tea (07:30 to 08:30 AM), AM coffee/tea & cookies (10:30 to 11:00 AM), hot buffet lunch (1:00 to 2:00 pm), and PM coffee/tea & cookies (4:00 to 4:30 pm) at no additional cost. In addition, our F&B partner will provide a counter in the dining area where you can purchase breakfast (07:30 to 08:30 AM) and running coffee/tea/drinks (08:30 AM to 05:00 PM) for a nominal fee payable directly in cash. We hope you enjoy the selection of food and drinks provided at the event.
