The talk and tutorial cover deploying a sample application into Kubernetes and collecting logs, metrics and APM data using only OSS and free Elastic stack components.
This talk and hands-on workshop shows how one toolset with a single data repository can be used to collect the three types of observability data: logs, metrics and APM on Kubernetes. The presentation part of the describes how Elastic stack components are deployed in Kubernetes, and the tutorial part lets the participants deploy their own copy of a sample app, test it and see how all the observability data is collected by Elastic stack with full access to the source code and configuration.
