Exploring the World-class Finnish Quantum Technology Ecosystem

The Finnish quantum ecosystem, based on decades of cutting-edge research in low temperatures, is among the most recognized and leading internationally, producing a wealth of academic and industry leaders in superconducting quantum technologies. This presents numerous opportunities for collaboration with Indian academia, companies, and start-ups. In this talk, we will explore the potential for partnership between Finland and India in the exciting field of quantum technology and the benefits that can be gained from joint efforts. Attendees will gain insight into the Finnish quantum ecosystem and learn how Indian organizations can collaborate to drive innovation and advance the field.

About the speaker

Mika Tirronen

Counsellor, Education and Science, Embassy of Finland

Dr Mika Tirronen serves as Counsellor of Education and Science in the Embassy of Finland to India. He has a PhD in Molecular Developmental Genetics and has worked as scientist at the University of Helsinki and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany. He has served as Programme Director in the Academy of Finland before his 6-year service as Counsellor of Education and Science in China. He is a seasoned influencer and advocate of Finnish education and innovation excellence, and his current ambition is to create new and innovative collaborative schemes in education and science between Finland and India.
