In this talk, we will discuss how to use Google Cloud BigQuery's unstructured data analysis feature and combine structured and unstructured formats of data with no-code SQL only steps. The demo covers the use case of storing and analysing images of Yoga Poses, creating a classification model, run inference against images and label the postures with BigQuery ML using only SQL. Finally, we will also deploy the model in just a few point-and-click steps to a REST endpoint using Vertex AI.

Abirami Sukumaran is a seasoned technology professional with over 17 years of experience in hands-on application development, databases, master data management, and analytics. She has filed a few patents in the areas of data management and is the author of the book “Databases Design and Modeling with Google Cloud”. Abirami currently works as a developer advocate for Google, specializing in Google Cloud databases and storage. Her primary role is to develop, research, and implement applications to help understand and improve developer experience with Google Cloud. Abirami is also pursuing a doctorate in business administration with a specialization in machine learning. In her free time, she is a certified yoga instructor and practitioner, blogger, and speaker. She also enjoys reading and learning to become a private pilot.
