Arun Kalyanaraman leads Core Commerce Engineering at Target in India. In this role, he is responsible for the Core Commerce portfolio and leads engineering teams managing critical retail commerce functions as well as foundational application platforms.
He joined Target in 2013 as Director – Technology and has 20+ years of experience driving complex technology transformations, building high performing teams, and delivering innovative, enterprise-scale solutions. He has led cross-functional teams across geographies, delivering outcomes in diverse, matrixed environments.
Arun believes in leading with curiosity, clarity, and care, and that strong teams and bold ideas are built on trust, shared purpose, and the courage to innovate.
He has a master’s degree in management studies and a bachelor’s degree in electronics, both from the University of Mumbai.
